Snooker World Championship Qualifiers gets broadcasted worldwide.

The Snooker World Championships were supposed to have taken place in April this year but 2020 had different plans. The postponed event was then rescheduled in August, a mere 4 months later.

The qualifying event for the World Champs takes place just days before the main event in Sheffield, the home of snooker, where we would usually provide coverage of the top 2 tables with our live streaming service. But with sports starting to resume we made a good case to try and expose as much live coverage as possible and at the highest production value.

World Snooker Tour and our broadcast partners, Eurosport, commissioned us for full broadcast coverage on Table 1 and our single-person live streaming coverage for table 2 for all 8 days of the qualifiers.

Within the same month, we had completed two other Snooker broadcast events for Matchroom Multisport and World Snooker Tour and we were back again with our new broadcast setup. What a month.

Table 1 was live on Eurosport TV and Table 2 was live on Eurosport player and other digital players.

We used our fly-away kit to create a 9-person gallery within the English Institue of Sport, Sheffield. We had live replays, in-house graphics and stats, commentary desk, shoot and edit station, 2 camera channels and in-house VT’s…here’s some behind the scenes photographs.
